2006 J/24 District 19 Championship

Amendment to the Lake Washington General Sailing Instructions

 

Amendment #1

 

The Lake Washington Racing Program, General and Specific Event Sailing Instructions, as presented in the CYC Seattle 2006 Racebook, will be in effect for Saturday, September 9, and Sunday, September 10, along with any and all posted amendments. In case of conflict, the Specific Event Sailing Instructions, along with posted amendments, shall govern.

 

 

Amendment #2

 

Registration

1.4 Measurement certificates will not be required for the J/24 class for this event.

 

1.5 For the J-24 class: Weigh-in will be conducted during registration at the Leschi Clubhouse Friday, September 8 from 1700-2000, and Saturday, September 9 from 0830-1000.

 

 

Amendment #3

 

Scoring

The following scoring will apply to the J/24 Class:

13.1 The Low Point Scoring System, RRS Appendix A, as modified herein, will apply.

13.2 A minimum of 1 completed race shall constitute a championship.

13.3 Each yachts total score shall be the sum of her scores for all races. This changes Appendix A2 of the RRS.

 

This replaces current instructions 13.1 through 13.4.

Amendment to Lake Washington Specific Event

Sailing Instructions

 

Lake Washington Fall Regatta

 

Amendment #1

 

Crew Substitutions:

For the J/24 Class, Crew Substitutions are permitted and must be presented at Registration. Substitute crew must weigh-in during registration or the skipper must make a request in writing prior to close of registration. Requests must be approved by either the District 19 Governor or the Jury.

 

Amendment #2

 

First Warning:

First warning on Sunday, September 10, will be at 1000.

 

There will be no races started after 1400 on Sunday, September 10.

 

Amendment #3

 

Awards:

For the J/24 District Championship, the following awards and/or prizes will be awarded:

1.)    Prizes will be awarded for overall 1-5;

2.)    The District 19 Championship Trophy will be presented to the overall winner;

3.)    The Pacific Northwest Championship Series Trophy will be presented.
